Grand Rapids, MI Snow Removal Companies
Snow removal policy for Grand Rapids, MI
The Grand Rapids city road commission plows the roads as snow begins to accumulate. They first concentrate on major streets, hills, hazardous intersections and school areas. Then attention is given to residential areas. Dead-ends, alleys, and cul-de-sacs will only be plowed when City trucks are removing snow in residential areas (usually over 3 inches of accumulation). The city utilizes salt mixed with calcium chloride and sometimes sand to make it more effective with the snow removal process.
